Former Hollyoaks star Daisy Wood-Davis announced that she was expecting a baby last month, and now she's shown off her baby bump for the first time.

The Kim Butterfield actress shared a photo of herself holding her belly while wearing a floral-patterned bikini, replicated three times with different filters, alongside an important message.

"Pregnant or not pregnant, our bodies are supposed to change!" she wrote.

"Too often we are made to feel this shouldn't happen and we should still look the same as we did 10 years ago which is quite frankly a load of bollocks.

"Am loving associating this daily changing body with a healthy, growing baby."

The star was praised for her words by fans, as well as singer Pixie Lott and actor Luke Jerdy, who has been her fiancé since August 2019.

When the couple announced last month that they were expecting their baby in October, Daisy wrote: "We have been keeping the biggest (smallest) secret of our lives!

"We couldn't let Covid get in the way of any more of our plans so instead of saying 'I do' this year, we've been growing and preparing for our precious baby son or daughter (still can't believe those words are coming out of my mouth!). Cannot wait to tell you all more about our journey so far."

Daisy was in Hollyoaks between 2014 and late 2018. Meanwhile, Luke played Jesse Donovan starting in 2016, until his character met a tragic end last year.

Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4.
