Former Home and Away child star Felix Dean arrested for alleged attack

Former Home and Away child star Felix Dean has been arrested for allegedly attacking someone.

The actor played the role of VJ Patterson between 2007 and 2014, before being replaced by Matthew Little, who played the character until his final appearance in 2018.

As reported by the Mail Online, the 24-year-old actor was already on bail following two incidents earlier this year.

According to the publication, Dean allegedly attacked a tobacco store worker on Monday (October 11) night. Officers charged him with affray, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, shoplifting and breaching bail. The alleged victim suffered minor head injuries and received treatment shortly after the reported attack.

Mail Online reported that Dean "became violent" when resisting an arrest in September, and was charged with intent to rob, common assault and damaging property for an alleged incident with a taxi driver in January.

The bail conditions that he is said to have broken include a strict 6pm curfew and random drug and alcohol tests. Following the latest alleged incident, he was reportedly refused bail to appear in court on Tuesday.

During his time on the Australian soap, Dean was nominated for Best Young Actor at the Inside Soap Awards in both 2008 and 2009.

He hasn't had any major acting roles since he left Home and Away seven years ago in 2014. Before that, he appeared in several episodes of the Australian TV series Comedy Inc.
