Former Liverpool FC coach Thomas Gronnemark has released his debut single.

The Danish coach was appointed by former Reds' boss, Jurgen Klopp, as a throw in specialist in 2018. Gronnemark was at the Reds for a trophy laden five years as the team went on to lift the Champions League and Premier League title.

He announced the end of his working relationship with the Reds in 2023, but has today confirmed an entirely new venture in the music industry. Gronnemark has announced the release of a single titled C-complicated Love on social media platform X.

"Karaoke it was. Bill Withers to be precise. The next step… in the fall I sent my music to a Danish top producer called Rune Braager. He like it, so we recorded my first single called “C-Complicated Love” It was quite scary to enter a studio for the first time walking past Gold- and Platinum records hanging on the wall.

"But, today is the day. Please hear the song a couple of times, and let me hear what you think. I appreciate all the support I can get."

The news was shared by the Athletic's James Pearce and followers took to the comments to share their surprise. @bhendro said: "Wow. That’s a pivot."

@dfitzgeralds posted: "We’ll all be ‘throw-in’ some shapes on the dance floor to this banger soon. Sound of summer 2024."

The song is available to listen to on Spotify
