Former southside pizza fave Canotto tease new location and fans are already speculating
Much loved in Glasgow's southside, fans were rightly devastated when Canotto Pizza moved to East Kilbride in the summer of 2022.
The pizza shop, which was founded by local entrepreneur Dom Morton in his kitchen, have now teased that they are set to open at a new venue and the city's foodies are rightly excited.
Taking to Instagram, Dom posted a short video featuring an illustration of a store with the Canotto Pizza name, teasing that it will be opening in December.

Alongside the clip, they added: "Look what we've asked Santa for this year. The big man has already said yes."
The clip follows an earlier post this year when a delighted Dom received the news they'd been named as one of the best in the UK, as well as in the Top 5 for Scotland, by the Times, in which he thanked fans and revealed they "cannot wait to share the news" of the "new locations" (note the plural) they will be expanding into in the coming months.
With one now on the way next month apparently, we can't wait to see where they will open and fans are already flocking to the comments to speculate.
One wrote: "If it ain’t southside…we riot."
Another added: "Please be back in Glasgow" - to which Dom and the team simply replied: "All will be revealed soon."
Dom, who previously worked at an engineering company for years before launching Canotto, was inspired to take the plunge and start his own restaurant after spending a decade perfecting his pizza-making skills in his home kitchen.
We have contacted the team and, as always, will let you know as soon as we find out more. Here is hoping it is indeed back in Glasgow!
