Former Strictly Come Dancing Professional James Jordan Slams Judge Craig Revel Horwood

They never really saw eye-to-eye when James Jordan was on Strictly Come Dancing, but now the ballroom and latin professional has hit out at ‘vile’ judge Craig Revel Horwood after he criticised Ola’s ‘sexy’ calendar.

Earlier this month, Craig revealed he wasn’t exactly a fan of Ola doing a ‘sexy’ calendar while she’s part of a ‘family show’, telling Woman magazine: “There has been talk about banning dancers from doing sexy calendars and I think it’s a good idea.

“Strictly is a family show and then you have got Ola pouring milk all over herself with her legs spread.

“Fitness shoots are fair enough but sexy calendars aren’t what the show is about.”

Unsurprisingly, James has stepped forward to defend his lovely wife, accusing Craig of ‘double standards’ in regards to his autobiography ‘All Balls And Glitter: My Life’.

James told Best magazine: “How can he say it’s not OK to sell a sexy Christmas calendar, but it is OK to sell his own book telling the world he was a drunken rent boy, and call it All Balls and Glitter?

“Innuendo, anyone? Is that what a ‘family show’ is all about, Craig?

“I’m pretty sure if one of the male dancers had brought out a calendar pouring milk over himself, he wouldn’t have reacted in the same way.”

He then criticised Strictly’s allegedly ‘unfair’ pay deal, continuing: “Like most of the dancers on Strictly, Ola has to earn money.

“We have bills to pay and, I can assure you, the professional dancers are paid a lot less than the panel for working flipping hard.

“They are training for up to 14 hours a day. Meanwhile, the judges are reportedly get £110,000 for one day a week.”

Yikes.

James was a professional dancer on Strictly from 2006-2013, often clashing with Craig, arguably the harshest judge on the panel.

He went on to claim Cranky Craig became ‘vile’ when he was drunk on a cruise, alleging: “He was shouting and slurring, ‘Who the hell would want to read Len Goodman’s book? Who cares about that old man’s life?”

Accusing Craig of going on to be ‘equally vile’ about Arlene Phillips, Brendan Cole and Kristina Rihanoff, James added: “I stood up, used a lot of nasty words, and left.

“Laughably, I was reprimanded by the BBC for being out of order to him.”

Crikey.

However, a BBC Worldwide source has seemingly denied the claims, saying: “Craig is immensely popular and from all of the feedback from holidaymakers, he is really highly regarded.

“Everyone on the cruise has always behaved with the utmost professionalism.”
