Hollyoaks spoilers follow.

Hollyoaks newcomer AJ Pritchard has teased big details about his character Marco.

Set to appear for the very first time this Friday (March 26) on the E4 episode and on Monday (March 29) on Channel 4, dancer Marco (who has a twin brother played by AJ's real brother Curtis Pritchard) is described as being "sly" when he arrives on the scene just as Trish Minniver (Denise Welch) prepares to open up her new dance school.

"Marco is Trish's [Minniver] rival from a previous dance school," AJ recently told Inside Soap.

"He's a very cheeky and confident guy. Marco knows what he wants and when he turns up, he acts as if he owns the place.

"Marco arrives for Trish's grand opening which, as you'll see, is not so grand due to a couple of mistakes on Maxine's [Minniver] part, which was fun to film."

Reflecting on his and Curtis' unique connection and how that's displayed onscreen, the former Strictly Come Dancing pro went on to say: "It's great because Curtis and I know each other so well from dancing and performing live, so we just get to play off that."

He added: "They're really fun characters that are a bit sly."

As a longtime fan of Hollyoaks, AJ also admitted that he felt "starstruck" for the first time ever while on the set and said he was "so nervous" on his first day of filming.

Hollyoaks currently airs new episodes from Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4.
