Former Swindon Town midfielder to leave Bishop's Cleeve

Attacking midfielder Toby Holland is to leave Bishop's Cleeve for Swindon Supermarine.

The former Swindon Town professional enjoyed a superb season with the Mitres, scoring 21 goals in all competitions and being voted Supporters' Player of the Year.

He will now step up a level from Southern League Division One South to Southern League Premier Division South.

Supermarine are managed by Gloucester-born Stuart Fleetwood, who enjoyed a long and successful career as a forward for the likes of Cardiff City, Forest Green Rovers, Charlton Athletic, Luton Town and Hereford United.

Meanwhile, central defender Josh Nelmes has turned down offers from several rival clubs, including Evesham United, to stay at Cleeve for the 2024/25 season.

Forest of Dean-based Nelmes joined Cleeve from Cirencester Town in October last year.

He has previously been on the books of Cinderford Town, Taunton Town and Bristol Manor Farm.

Cleeve have so far brought in defender Mat Liddiard from Supermarine this summer.
