Former Trump Campaign Manager Brad Parscale Hospitalized After 'Threats to Harm Himself'

Police released footage on September 28 showing officers detaining Brad Parscale, a senior adviser for the Trump campaign and former campaign manager, at his Florida home the day before, following reports he was threatening to harm himself.

This bodycam video, taken outside Parscale’s home on Desota Drive, shows Parscale’s wife speaking with officers about her husband, telling them he was acting “crazy” and brandishing a weapon. The footage then shows officers conversing with Parscale outside the home before tackling him to the ground and detaining him. Parscale repeatedly says, “I didn’t do anything.”

The Sun Sentinel reported that Parscale was taken to Broward Health Medical Center under the Baker Act, which provides for temporary involuntary commitment to people who are undergoing a mental health crisis.

The police report said his wife Candice told police that Parscale made comments about fatally shooting himself in the days before the incident, local media reported.

Officers took possession of 10 weapons that were inside the house, including handguns, shotguns, and rifles, the police report said. Credit: FLPDPIO via Storyful
