Jenson Button and Brittny Ward baby: Formula One star and fiancée expecting first child

Formula One star Jenson Button has announced that he is expecting his first child with model fiancée Brittny Ward.

The racing driver confirmed the happy news as he posted an ultrasound scan on his Instagram account last night.

“Brittny & I are delighted to announce the new edition [sic] to the family currently having his first seat!” he wrote. “Look how comfy he looks! #babybutton”

The 28-year-old model shared the same image on her own account, with the caption: “Baby couldn’t wait for the wedding, he’s decided to make an early appearance.

“@jensonbutton_22 and I are very happy to announce baby button is coming this summer.”

Fans of both stars flooded the couple with congratulations on social media.

“So happy for you both, you’ll make the best parents!” one follower wrote. “Can’t wait to see baby Button on the grid.”

“Jenson will be a great dad… he had a fab role model,” another wrote.

Others joked that the couple’s new arrival was destined to excel on the racing track, with one fan suggesting: “He’s gonna be winning races by next year.”

The pair, who have been dating since March 2016, confirmed their engagement last June, when the Formula One ace shared a picture of the pair posing on the beach, with the caption “Soon to be Mrs Button!”

Button was previously married to model Jessica Michibata, but the pair confirmed their split in December 2015.

“Jenson and Jessica have decided to go their separate ways and it is very amicable,” a statement from the then-couple read at the time.

“There is no one else involved.”

Ward was previously linked to Twilight actor Kellan Lutz.
