Fortnite patch notes 9.30: Epic Games update adds Chug Splash, Vaulted Weapons and more

A whole new set of Fortnite patch notes have finally landed after an extended downtime earlier today.

Fortnite update 9.30 is now live and brings with it some exciting new features for gamers to get their hands on.

And the latest Fortnite update appears to be quite a big overhaul of the previous patch, with the major new addition being the arrival of the "Chug Splash".

Shotguns are getting revamped too, as are explosives, while two brand new islands are available. A fun new feature also allows you to transform into a prop to hide yourself from opponents.

Here's all you need to know about Fortnite 9.30.

What's new in the latest Fortnite update?

Perhaps the biggest change in the new update is the introduction of the "Chug Splash", a special thrown drink which boosts the health or shields of anyone within its splash radius - friend or foe.

It can even extend the duration of your death countdown if you have been knocked, too.

Players can carry up to six of the Chug Splashes at a time, and they drop in pairs.

Weapons are getting updated too, with the Shotgun Swap Delay now removed from the game and cool downs only applying when the player is carrying multiple shotguns.

The long-range effects of the Combat Shotgun have been reduced while the Boom Bow, Dual Pistols and Dynamite have all been vaulted. The Combat Shotgun is getting a nerf, but is also seeing a reduction to both its medium-range and long-range damage.

Along with a number of bug fixes and life improvements, a new mystery skin reportedly called "Singularity" will be made available to gamers who have amassed 90 Fortbytes.

One of the most exciting new features with the latest update is the introduction of something called the "Prop-O-Matic" in Creative Mode, a new in-game tool which allows players to transform into a prop and hide from opponents to creat a Prop Hunt game.

Two new islands have also been introduced on Creative Mode - The Wasteland and Caldera.

A new Storm Shield Endurance mode is also being introduced to Save The World.
