Forty Clothing's t-shirt launch in tribute to Glasgow with orders being shipped internationally
Forty Clothing have launched t-shirts paying tribute to areas of their beloved Glasgow – and the designs are already a huge hit here as well as internationally.
The designs represent the East End, South Side and Glasgow itself, inspired by the brand's stores at the Fort, Silverburn and in the city centre at Royal Exchange Square.
Founder Harry Miller is amazed by the response, with online orders going to the States and even Australia.

Harry said: “We’re always saying how proud we are to be part of this city and we wanted to do something to show it, so came up with these ideas inspired by the communities that we are in every day.
“That’s where we feel like the local people have REALLY embraced us and taken us to their hearts – we’re part of the local fabric.
“We put the tees in the stores in those areas and they’ve gone mad – really crazy. So Glasgow tee is in city centre, South Side in Silverburn and East End at The Fort.
“But the surprising thing is people all over the world are ordering them, I guess because whether you live here or not, you’re always a Glaswegian wherever you end up.”
Forty just opened their new Silverburn store and the brand are now offering 20 per cent off everything including new ranges and previously discounted items for Black Friday across all shops and their website.
And Harry expects the tees to sell out by the time the sale ends after the weekend – but is already eyeing up other ideas inspired by the city and its people.

Harry added: “We are a Glasgow company and a Glasgow brand, so it’s nice to celebrate the sense of pride, community, identity and welcome that everyone just gets when they come here.
“Even guys on our team who have moved here from Ireland or wherever, they now see themselves as Glasgow guys and they’re proud of it.
“Glasgow becomes home as soon as you arrive here - that’s unusual and it IS something we should all be more proud of.
“We’re always so grateful to everyone everywhere for supporting us since the beginning and through the last decade.
“This idea to show we love where we are seems to have really struck a chord – it’s that pride at our special city.”
