As if tonight's Love Island wasn't dramatic enough – what with Ellie Brown and Charlie Brake getting unceremoniously dumped after receiving the least public votes of support – those naughty producers have thrown in yet another twist.

No sooner had Ellie and Charlie packed their bags tonight than it was announced that four – yes, you read that right, FOUR – new bombshells will be entering the villa tomorrow (July 16).

We'll soon be meeting 23-year-old account manager Stephanie Lam, 23-year-old surfer Laura Crane, 31-year-old carpenter and model Paul Knops and 21-year-old DJ Josh Mair.

Stephanie, who calls herself a "girls' girl", says that she's looking for "someone who can make me laugh," but that she's also keen to make friends with the other girls, saying "friendship is important to me".

She's going to have a hard time going in amongst all those happy couples then...

Stephanie actually already has a connection with the show, as she admits to having previously dated last year's contestant Chris Hughes.

"We got friendly this year and have been on a mates' date but we're just friends," she says.

Surfer Laura, who's been travelling the world competing since she was 16, says she's looking for somebody "who knows what they want, who is confident in their own skin and who is ready for an adventure".

She's also spilled on the most disastrous date she's ever been on, saying that she "did a runner" from a guy who "told me everything about his life and didn't ask anything about me".

So the guys in the villa had better make sure they show an interest in Laura, particularly as she says she can't stand "arrogance".

Paul might be about to cause some serious disturbance in the villa, as he's admitted that he's got his eye on happily coupled-up girls Kazimir Crossley and Alexandra Crane.

"Physically the person I'm most attracted to in the villa is Kaz. She is beautiful. And Alexandra, I really like her aura, she seems to be a very relaxed girl and I think she can have a deep conversation – I feel she has a bit about her. I'd like to get to know her."

Although he describes himself as a "boys' boy", Paul says he's not going to keep his distance from the girls.

"I get on with girls very well. I know some of the girls are coupled up seriously, but I would still like them to get to know me and then make their own decisions about me," he said.

In a rather impressive claim to fame, Paul says that he used to be mates with Britney Spears of all people.

"I was the lead guy in the Britney Spears video 'Make Me'," he said. "Me and Britney were friends for a bit. I got to know her really well during the making of the video."

Josh, who claims to "always get what I want," admits that he has "had my eye on Georgia (Steel) for a while".

But he's "not putting all my focus on one girl," saying: "I want to get to know them all and go for whoever I think I'm getting the most connection back from."

And Josh, who's played music festivals alongside Stormzy, says he's not worried about upsetting the other boys if it means he gets the girl.

"I am a boys' boy, but if it comes down to the girl I want, I will step on toes to get her. I will choose a girl over a guy, definitely," he said.

Looks like things are about to get seriously shaken up in the villa...

Love Island will show the new bombshells entering the villa during its next episode, which airs tomorrow (July 16) at 9pm on ITV2.
