Four Girls Suspended For Eating Cannabis-Laced ‘Space Cakes’ At School

Bringing illegal drugs into class is never a good idea as these teenage girls found out after being found with marijuana-laced cakes.

The four girls, aged between 13 and 14, were caught by teachers eating the drug-infused ‘space cakes’ and were suspended from Baines High School in Poulton-le-Fylde, Lancashire, as a result.

Lancashire Police said the incident has not been reported as a crime.

The headteacher, Roddy Mccowan, confirmed that the four pupils received fixed-term exclusions but would not comment on ‘individual cases’.

Head of governors David Jesson said: ‘The school has dealt with this immediately and a warning will also be sent out to pupils that this behaviour will not be tolerated.

‘It’s always a shock when this sort of thing happens. Unfortunately we have no control of pupils once they are out of school and I understand this product - this cake - was made at home and brought into school.’
