Four Injured in Shooting at Tri-State Fair in Texas

Four people, including a police deputy, were injured in a shooting at the Tri-State Fair in Amarillo, Texas, on September 19, local media reported.

KAMR/KCIT, citing the Potter County Sheriff’s Office, reported that an off-duty deputy, a firefighter, and a bystander were injured when a suspect opened fire.

Deputies then returned fire and hit the suspect, police told KAMR/KCIT.

The deputy, firefighter, and bystander were all sent to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect was transferred to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, KAMR/KCIT said.
