Four Injured In Unmarked Police Car Collision

Four people have been injured after an unmarked police car and another vehicle crashed outside a restaurant in north London.

A man in his 30s has been taken to hospital, but his injuries are not life-threatening.

A woman was also said to have been treated at the scene in Kentish Town for minor injuries, while the two officers from the unmarked car suffered whiplash injuries.

Officers were responding to an emergency call when the incident happened outside Pizza East on Highgate Road at 7.44pm.

Witnesses reported seeing police helicopters overhead after the collision.

The other vehicle involved stopped and the driver is assisting police with their enquiries, the Met said.

No arrests have been made.

The road was closed in all directions.

The incident has been referred to the Directorate of Professional Standards at the Metropolitan Police, as well as the Independent Police Complaints Commission.
