Four Killed in Military Helicopter Crash in Colombia

A military helicopter crashed in the west Colombian city of Quibdo on Sunday, March 19, killing all four people onboard, Colombia’s Ministry of National Defense said.

Footage by local journalist Aldemar Valencia Murillo shows the burning crash site, located near a dense residential area in Quibdo’s south.

Colombian President Gustavo Petro paid tribute to the four service people killed in the incident, saying that he was with their families “in this painful moment.”

“We will not leave them alone,” he said.
