Chris Hemsworth's Marvel contract is finished as of Avengers: Endgame, but that doesn't rule out the possibility of a fourth Thor movie.
After a mixed response to Thor and Thor: The Dark World, Thor: Ragnarok revitalised the character and Hemsworth's desire to play the Norse God, so he's recently been saying the classic 'never say never' to another outing.
"I'd play this character for as long as anyone would let me," he said. "Who knows what the future holds and whether they do prequels and sequels or whatever, I'd be open to anything."
But will he get a chance to make another Thor movie?
Thor 4 release date: When can we expect Thor again?
Thor 4 has been confirmed, with Ragnarok director Taika Waititi back to helm the fourquel.
Waititi is currently working on his next project called Jojo Rabbit, a Nazi satire in which he plays an imagined version of Adolf Hitler that opens on October 18.
The director also put his other project, a live-action adaptation of Akira for Warner Bros., on the shelf to pursue Thor 4. Akira had been heading for production, according to Variety, which means Thor 4 might be taking its spot on the schedule.
Akira was scheduled to debut on May 21, 2021, so Thor 4 might come out sometime around then, but nothing has been confirmed.

The Hollywood Reporter said Chris Hemsworth is likely to reprise the role the Norse god, though how big his role will be remains to be seen.
By the end of Avengers: Endgame, Thanos is defeated once-and-for-all and heads off with the Guardians of the Galaxy on a new mission, but not before making Valkyrie the leader of New Asgard.
Following from these final moments of Endgame, Valkyrie's Tessa Thompson will likely return, and some of the Guardians may even cameo.
There is also a real reason to believe the fourth movie might introduce fan-favourite, Beta Ray Bill. Though who would play the alien warrior remains to be seen.
Other returning cast members could include Tom Hiddleston's Loki, Mark Ruffalo as Professor Hulk, and Taika voicing another fan-favourite, Korg.

Tessa Thompson revealed a "pitch has happened" for another Thor movie. "I don't know how real that intel is, but I hear that the pitch has happened."
In what direction Thor 4 goes remains to be seen, but with Waititi at the helm it should undoubtedly be good.
