Fox renews Family Guy and Bob's Burgers

From Digital Spy

Not that we had any doubts, but Seth McFarlane's animated sitcom Family Guy has been officially renewed for its 17th season.

To be fair, we can't really imagine a world without the likes of Peter Griffin, his menacing baby son Stewie or the rampant Quagmire.

Deadline reports that Family Guy and Bob's Burgers are being continued by Fox, with both titles currently in production on their respective next seasons.

Bob's Burgers will move into its 9th season.

Back in March, news emerged of Bob's Burgers creator Loren Bouchard officially teaming up with Apple to produce a brand new animated musical comedy titled Central Park.

The show will find Oscar-nominee Stanley Tucci, Kristen Bell and Josh Gad lending their voices to the project.

This in-development show will be based around a family of Central Park caretakers who are thrust into a position they're rather unqualified to be in – saving the world.

Recently, Family Guy star Sanaa Lathan was in the news for being embroiled in a rather bizarre 'scandal' of sorts.

In an alleged incident at some glitzy party last December, Beyonce was reportedly the target of a set of gnashers.

On her experience dealing with the accusation, Lathan said: "I think it's the most absurd thing I've ever been involved with. Thank God I've been in this business for 20 years and have had so many rumours about me.

"They used to devastate me in my 20s, but in order to survive in this business, you just have to let it roll. I adore Beyoncé. I would never do anything malicious like that - to her, or to anyone. It's so bizarre."
