The Toffees need two points from their remaining two fixtures to preserve their top-flight status but Lampard wants to leave nothing to chance ahead of a last-day clash against top-four chasers Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
Everton's four-match unbeaten home run came to a shuddering halt in a 3-2 defeat by Brentford last time out - a shock setback in which they had two players sent off - and Lampard is under no illusion as to the size of the task ahead for the final game at Goodison Park this season.

Everton fans have turned up the volume in recent home games and the former Chelsea and England star wants his players to embrace what is sure to be another hot atmosphere but stay in control of their emotions. He told reporters: "I think they have to understand the occasion, they have to tap into that. "It is not the fifth game of the season where you are trying to get yourself going, it is a game which is really critical.
"We have to use the fact there is a pressure on us in a good way and play with control on top of that, that is the balance." A win on Thursday and Everton are guaranteed to avoid relegation, while Palace will look to extend their unbeaten run to five matches.

On the bonus that their destiny is still in their own hands, Lampard said: "That is the nice thing, that's a good thing. If you had offered that to us a few weeks ago we probably would have taken it. "But it is just words at the moment. It is nice that it is in our hands and if we can get the right performance, things go our way, tap into the atmosphere, we know we have an opportunity to get where we want to be."
