Frank Lampard warns FA Cup Final 'favourites' Chelsea of Arsenal strengths

Frank Lampard says Chelsea are obvious favourites for the FA Cup Final against Arsenal but warned his former team-mates they must still perform to their best at Wembley Stadium.

The Blues are aiming to complete a Double after their record-breaking Premier League title win and face a Gunners side with a depleted defence for the trip to the national stadium.

Lampard won the FA Cup four times with Chelsea but lost his first final, in 2001-02, and does not want to see the current Blues end their fine run in the world's oldest's football competition.

"Chelsea will be favourites because of what they’ve done this season, but I don’t think you can take too much into account going into a final because they can go against the norm," Lampard told the club's official website.

"It’s about performance on the day, they can be very tense affairs.

"I didn’t particularly enjoy my finals in terms of the playing moments because you’re so desperate to win them and not lose.

"I think it could be a tight game; Chelsea are favourites on paper and rightly so, but they’ll have to perform on the day to overcome an Arsenal side who have strength in their team."
