Barbara Sinatra – the fourth wife of the late, great Frank Sinatra – has sadly died at the age of 90.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Barbara – who was married to Sinatra for 22 years before his death – passed away earlier today (July 25) at her home.

In a statement, the director of the Barbara Sinatra Children's Center John Thoresen said: "She died comfortably surrounded by family and friends at her home."

Known fondly as "Lady Blue Eyes", Barbara married the legendary swing artist Frank Sinatra in 1976. It was his last and longest marriage.

During their marriage, the Sinatras founded the Barbara Sinatra Children's Center at the Eisenhower Medical Center, providing support to abused, neglected and at-risk children.

In her memoir, Barbara – who was previously married to Zeppo Marx – revealed that she and Frank met after he asked her to play tennis with his then-wife Ava Gardner.

Of her relationship with Frank, Barbara admitted that it had taken "five years" of dating before she felt ready to get married.

"It probably took another year before I grew accustomed to the idea that I now carried his iconic name," she wrote (via THR).

"At first, I'd almost whisper when booking a restaurant reservation or beauty parlor appointment. Even to say 'Mrs. Sinatra' out loud felt like bragging."

Barbara Sinatra is survived by her son and granddaughter.
