Franken announces intention to resign over sexual misconduct allegations

Sen. Al Franken, D-Minn., addressed the Senate on Thursday and announced his plans to resign in the coming weeks over sexual misconduct allegations. Franken’s replacement will be selected by Gov. Mark Dayton. His resignation announcement comes after dozens of senators called for him to step down after a new accuser came forward on Monday.
