Frankie & Benny's Festival Park branch to shut
Restaurant chain Frankie & Benny's is shutting its Festival Park branch. A sign in the window confirms that the branch shuts for good at 5pm on Sunday, September 22.
The restaurant chain and staff at the Festival Park branch are so far remaining tight-lipped regarding the closure. StokeonTrentLive has approached owner The Big Table for a statement regarding the impending Festival Park branch closure.
The sign states: "We regret to inform you that our doors will be closing. Our last day of trading will be 22 September and we will be closing at 5pm.

"We want to thank each and every guest who has shared their time with us, whether that be for a birthday, engagement, date night, and family days. We appreciate the good times that have been shared.
"Our nearest branch will now be Frankie & Benny's, on Trentham Estate. From all of us here, thank you."
It was back in 2007 when Frankie & Benny's took over the former Arbuckles site on Festival Park. Further Stoke-on-Trent branches later opened within The Hive, in Hanley, and inside Trentham Shopping Village.
But the Hanley restaurant never reopened following the first coronavirus lockdown - less than five years after it had opened.
Frankie & Benny's faced an uncertain future last year when The Restaurant Group sold Frankie & Benny's and Chiquito to The Big Table Group. The new owner stressed there would be no immediate redundancies or closures.
