All the free and £1 food you can get on Birmingham New Street this week as two restaurants open
Two restaurants are opening on Birmingham's busy New Street tomorrow (Thursday, November 21) and they're handing out free portions and £1 meals to celebrate. Mexican restaurant Boojum will open its doors at 64 New Street at the former Second Cup Coffee shop while down the way at number 67, Japanese restaurant Yakinori is finally reopening to customers.
Boojum promises the first 300 customers through the doors a free burrito to introduce them to the 'cult favourite' brand, which is popular in Ireland. They open up at midday for the lunchtime rush.
Yakinori, which closed two years ago following a flood, is back up and running from 11am on Thursday and will be selling katsu curries for just £1. All proceeds will go to the Birmingham Children's Hospital Charity, but customers do need to sign up to the Yakinori Club to redeem the offer. There's a QR code on the window to show you how to do it.

Boojum and Yakinori are not the only two new dining spots opening on Birmingham's busiest street ahead of Christmas. A new three-storey bar is gearing up to open on December 2.
Clays will offer a virtual reality clay shooting experience in its countryside-inspired space at Piccadilly Arcade. It'll serve British produce too, in dishes and cocktails. Full details of that can be found here and we'll bring you a first look inside as soon as it's ready.
