Trinity Market is ramping up excitement for the festive season with its line-up of free Christmas performances each Saturday leading up to the big day.

Kicking off on 23 November and running through until 21 December, the Santa Claus Showtime event, organised by Redland Events in collaboration with Hull City Council and Trinity Market, is back after a triumphant turnout last year.

Santa, Mrs Claus and a merry band of elves will bring joy and entertainment through a collection of fresh songs, classic holiday tunes and engaging activities. Post-show, a treasure hunt throughout Trinity Market awaits.

Councillor Rob Pritchard, portfolio holder for culture and leisure at Hull City Council said: “It’s fantastic to be able to offer this event to families for free, thanks to the support of the council. We saw how much joy it brought last year, and Santa and his team are just as excited as we are to bring the magic back to Trinity Market. It’s a wonderful opportunity for families to enjoy some festive fun at no cost, and we’re looking forward to seeing everyone there.”

Santa himself couldn't hide his joy, saying: “I’m absolutely delighted to be coming back to Hull! The warmth and festive spirit of the people here is something truly special, and it holds a very dear place in my heart. Mrs Claus, the elves and I have plenty of new songs and surprises, and we’re looking forward to sharing them with all the wonderful people of Hull and the East Riding.”

In addition to Santa's Showtime, Trinity Market will be brimming with festive cheer. Attractions include a Christmas-themed photo booth and wandering festive characters, while local traders will offer tasty treats and unique gifts, ensuring there's something for everyone.

Tickets will be available from the first week of November via Eventbrite.
