A free music festival series is coming to Flat Iron Square this summer

Flat Iron Square has announced plans to host a series of free weekly music events this summer.

The Southwark venue will welcome fans to the family-friendly Common Ground festival from September 1.

There’ll be an eclectic musical line-up of artists and DJs on offer every Saturday from 12pm to 12am throughout the month.

Common Ground’s co-founder Beans on Toast is amongst the acts due to perform, with musicians such as Nova Twins and Too Many Ts also on the bill.

Chris Tofu, who runs Glastonbury’s Shangri-La, will also be DJing alongside the likes of Secret Garden Party’s Head Gardener and Boomtown festival’s AAA Badboy.

As you'd expect from London's first 'foodie hub', Flat Iron Square will be hosting a wide selection of street food and serve dishes from around the world during the festival.

Common Ground will raise money for charity, with proceeds going to such organisations as Help Refugees, Raw Foundation and the Felix Project.

Soho Radio will also be broadcasting live from the festival on each of the five Saturdays.
