Free 'spectacular' music in the park event set to take place
A spectacular free music-themed event is set to be held in Leicestershire this weekend. Southfields Park in Loughborough will play host to live performances, activities and stalls during the two-day Music in the Park event.
Stalls confirmed for the event include street food, cakes, charities, jewellery and a fully licenced bar. The event will also see a “wide range of bands and artists from across the musical landscape”, a spokesperson for Charnwood Borough Council said.
Councillor Jennifer Tillotson, the council’s lead member for economic development, regeneration and town centres, said the event would bring a “superb weekend of fun and music for all the family”. She said: “We are looking forward to hosting another spectacular event in Southfields Park after the Celebrating Charnwood event in June.
