French Grand Prix 2019 LIVE: Start time, F1 latest updates, how to watch on TV and online, starting grid

Follow the latest updates live from the French Grand Prix at Paul Ricard in Le Castellet where Lewis Hamilton starts from pole position alongside teammate and championship rival Valtteri Bottas.

The two Mercedes proved to be in a class of their own during qualifying as Hamilton got the better of Bottas to take pole position, though it was yet another difficult afternoon for Sebastian Vettel as an issue with his Ferrari left him down in seventh. Charles Leclerc will leave the Ferrari challenge from third ahead of Max Verstappen, with the two McLarens of Lando Norris and Carlos Sainz getting themselves into the mix by filling the third row.

The progress of Vettel and the second Red Bull of Pierre Gasly will be one of the things to look out for during the race, while teams will have to decide between looking after their tyres or taking the penalty of two pitstops instead of one. Follow the live action below.

The French Grand Prix takes place on Sunday 23 June at 2:10pm BST (3:10 CET).
