French presidential candidate Emmanuel Macron received a phone call from Barack Obama on April 20 in what appears to be an endorsement from the former US president mere days before France’s presidential election.

Macron shared the video on April 20, and Obama’s distinctive voice can be heard through the phone. Obama wished Macron the best of luck in the elections and stressed the importance of maintaining diligence and optimism in campaigning until the very last moment.
