“Brats”

The top movie on Hulu at the moment is the new documentary “Brats.”

Directed by Andrew McCarthy, the film dives into the history of the “Brat Pack” ― the iconic group of young actors who starred in many notable teen-focused movies in the 1980s. After premiering at the Tribeca Festival on June 7, the documentary joined Hulu on June 13.

“Monkey Man”

Dev Patel’s directorial debut “Monkey Man” is now available for streaming on Peacock.

The action thriller debuted at South by Southwest in March followed by a theatrical release in April. “Monkey Man” tells the story of an anonymous young man who embarks on a bloody journey of revenge on the people who murdered his parents.

“Practical Magic”

“Practical Magic” is now the second most popular movie on Max following the news that a sequel is in development.

Starring Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman, the 1998 comedy centers around a pair of sisters descended from a long line of witches. Although the film was neither commercially nor critically successful, it gained a cult following in the years after its release.

“Contagion”

The 2011 medical thriller “Contagion” is currently trending on Apple TV+ ― perhaps as a result of the new dominant COVID-19 variant that’s been making headlines.

As the title suggests, the movie is about a highly contagious virus that spirals into a pandemic and the medical professionals who try to contain the deadly disease. “Contagion” features an ensemble cast including Matt Damon, Jude Law, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Winslet, Laurence Fishburne, Marion Cotillard and Bryan Cranston.
