Fresh blow for Strictly's Giovanni Pernice as fellow pro dancer releases cryptic statement

Strictly Come Dancing star Giovanni Pernice has been dealt a fresh blow after a pro dancer announced they were no longer working together in a cryptic post. Giovanni, 33, was involved in running Ballando classes with Pasquale La Rocca, best known for appearances on Belgium's version of Dancing with the Stars.

However, this seems to be no more as Pasquale shared a statement via his Instagram page. He said his classes had ended for reasons "out of [his] control", adding he didn't want to "linger" on what had happened.

Pasquale didn't give a specific reason as to why the dance classes were off but insisted he now wanted to "move forward", the Mirror reports. The full statement read: "Over the last few days I have received a lot of DMs and messages from you in regards to my dance classes. I thought I should clear the air and give you an update on what's happening from my side. Circumstances out of my control have brought my Ballando dance classes journey to an end. I don't wish to linger on this, but to move forward."

Giovanni is still involved in the Ballando classes, with an upcoming date scheduled which features Strictly judges Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke. The professional dancer recently hit the headlines when he spoke out to deny allegations of "threatening and abusive" behaviour while on the BBC show.

In response to the speculation, Giovanni said on social media: "Of course, I reject any suggestion of abusive or threatening behaviour, and I look forward to clearing my name." The BBC was said to have launched an internal investigation after receiving complaints from Giovanni's previous dance partners on the show .

It has also been claimed Giovanni has quit Strictly Come Dancing after nine years on the show. Both Giovanni and Pasquale's reps have been contacted by the Mirror for comment.
