Friends: Courteney Cox surprises fans as actor serves coffee at Central Perk cafe

Fans were delighted to see Courteney Cox as a temporary server at the Friends -themed coffee house.

The Warner Bros studios in Burbank, California invites guests to partake in experiences based on the hit sitcom, including dining at a recreation of the show’s iconic Central Perk cafe.

Cox – who starred as Monica Gellar throughout the hit sitcom’s 10 seasons – surprised visitors when she showed up to the coffee house to serve some beverages.

In a video shared to Instagram yesterday (1 October), Cox is seen delivering drinks to people sat on the recognisable yellow sofa.

She is also spotted packing up orders and serving customers at what appears to be a Friends-themed gift shop.

The 57-year-old shared the compilation clip accompanied by the caption: “When I’m not acting… #inbetweenthescenes.”

Her post has since been liked nearly 200,300 times, with many fans praising Cox as an “icon”.

Fellow stars also voiced their delight at the clip. Pretty Little Liars actor Ashley Benson wrote: “Lolololol everything.”

“Hilarious!!” added Hocus Pocus star Kathy Najimy.

Cox filmed the video on a break from shooting her latest feature at the same Warner Bros studios where Friends was filmed from 1994 to 2004.

Her current project is a forthcoming horror-comedy series titled Shining Vale, which began production in July.

Speaking about the HBO Friends Reunion Special that took place earlier this year, Cox’s co-star Jennifer Aniston recently opened up about how “emotional” the gathering was.

“But there was a lot to come out for everyone,” said Aniston. “Hard truths and changes and loss and babies and marriages and divorces and miscarriages.”
