Friends may have ended 15 (!) years ago, but the beloved sitcom really is the gift that keeps on giving – and we're not just talking about all those blunders we didn't catch on first watch.

This time, the latest Friends Easter egg to be found by fans involves one of Ross Geller's T-shirts and a pretty cool message in the design.

As pointed out by the eagle-eyed folk over on Reddit, in the season eight episode 'The One With the Tea Leaves', Ross can be seen wearing a T-shirt with two hands on the front.

More than just a hand gesture, Ross' tee actually says 'Friends' in sign language. This is brand new information, etc.

While there's no doubt the Friends cast and crew will look fondly on their sign language reference, there are plenty of other moments from the show that haven't aged as well.

Opening up about what she'd change about the series if it was made today, creator Marta Kauffman recently admitted that there would be fewer jokes at the expense of the transgender community.

"I think we didn't have the knowledge about transgender people back then, so I'm not sure if we used the appropriate terms," she said.

"I don't know if I would have known those terms back then. I think that's the biggest one."

Recalling 'The One with the Rumor', which saw Ross and Brad Pitt's character Will Colbert reveal that they spread a lie at school that Rachel was a hermaphrodite, Marta added: "I might have not done the hermaphrodite stuff today if I had that to do over."
