"They were running round in the street shooting them at each other, it was terrifying.” It should be noted that reports of a fight with the fireworks have not been confirmed.

A police spokesperson told MyLondon that it was called to the area “a couple of times” to reports of fireworks being set off.

However, there were no arrests and no reports of any injuries as a result.

It is illegal to buy fireworks if you’re under 18, and it’s against the law for anyone to set them off between 11pm and 7am, except on certain occasions.

It is also breaking the law to throw them in the street or set them off in public places without proper permission.
