Frosted Trees Frame Tennessee River Amid Great Smoky Mountains Snowfall

Cold weather and snow swept through the Great Smoky Mountains National Park on January 9, the National Weather Service reported.

The service said weather conditions could pose risks for travelers. “Black ice is difficult to see and is very slippery. Use caution if traveling tonight or Saturday morning,” they said.
