Is Fulham vs Newcastle United on TV, what time is kick-off and how can I stream it?

It might be only September and the fifth matchweek of the Premier League season, but just imagine how good it will feel if we see Newcastlle United top of the Premier League table on Match of the Day tonight.

A win at Fulham this afternoon would take Eddie Howe's side to the top of the pile, possibly only for 24 hours, but it highlights just what a strong start the Magpies have had. Of course, there's the little matter of getting the better of Marco Siva's side today, with the Cottagers coming into the game on the back of a Carabao Cup exit at Preston.

United have an injury concern over Alexander Isak, but otherwise it's the same squad which came back well to win at Wolves last Sunday. Sandro Tonali could come into the starting XI, as could Harvey Barnes, especially if Isak is ruled out. United won twice at Craven Cottage last season, and a repeat result would be the perfect set-up for next weekend's home clash with Manchester City. Here's all you need to know.

Early Newcastle United team news

Alexander Isak is an injury concern today, with the Sweden striker picking up a foot injury in the 2-1 win over Wolves. Howe hopes his frontman will be fit enough to be involved today, but if not he is likely to ask Anthony Gordon to play through the middle, with Will Osula on standby for his United debut.

Otherwise it's the same Newcastle squad that took on Wolves, with Sandro Tonali and Joe Willock looking for a starting spot. Howe must decide whether to start Harvey Barnes, although much could depend in Isak's availability. Callum Wilson, Sven Botman, Jamaal Lascelles and Lewis Miley are all long-term absentees.

Fulham vs Newcastle United referee

Peter Bankes will take charge of today's game at Craven Cottage. His two games so far this season have seen 10 yellow cards, but this is his first Premier League game of the campaign. He only officiated one Newcastle game last term, the 2-2 draw at West Ham.
