TV presenter Kym Marsh and fellow soap star Antony Cotton have raved about their visit to a restaurant in Prestwich which dishes out bad manners to customers.

Marsh and Cotton, who worked together on Coronation Street, have both shared their experience at Karen's Diner.

The Australian burger bar, famous for its "great burgers and very rude service", opened the Bury New Road branch last year and has proved to be a hit with visitors, including celebrities.

TV star Davina McCall visited the eaterie in the new year and spoke of the "terrible care" she received but added the trip from Tunbridge Wells was worth it.

Marsh, 46, who recently appeared on Strictly Come Dancing, thanked the Karen's team for an "outrageous night" while Cotton, 47, from Bury, who plays Sean Tully in Corrie, said the experience was "full on funny".

Pictures show the pair wearing hats with embarrassing slogans and staff members looking thoroughly miserable in pictures with them.

Marsh, who played Michelle Connor in Corrie before leaving the role in 2019, said on Instagram: “Had the best time at Karen’s Diner.

“If you fancy a hysterical night out, being screamed at and told where to go by the staff, ridiculed for what you wear and generally being abused, then get yourselves down there!

“Just don’t be late or @bushlar will make you face the wall and think about what you’ve done!!

“Thanks so much for an outrageous night, Amber, Paul, Maddie and all the Kellie’s.”

Cotton also wrote a similar positive review of the occasion.

He said: “Went to Karen’s Diner in Prestwich.

“I asked for ketchup and onions. They told me to go to the kitchen and get them myself.

“If you want an outrageous night out, being screamed at over burgers and cocktails - get to Karen’s. It’s full-on funny.”
