With another challenging season in Welsh rugby now reaching its conclusion, the hard work is already beginning ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.

In recent times, amid brutal budget cuts and poor onfield displays, we have seen a host of top players leave Wales for pastures new, with many taking up opportunities across the border in England. But while the likes of Tomos Williams and Nicky Smith have followed suit this summer, a feared mass exodus across the Severn Bridge has not materialised and the tide has actually turned somewhat.

Callum Sheedy, Alec Hepburn and Phil Cokanasiga are among the players to have moved to Wales from English clubs, with hot prospects Steffan Emmanuel and Tom Bowen also being snapped up by Cardiff.
