Heavy rain and strong winds brought more challenging conditions to Gloucestershire overnight from Sunday into today (Monday, September 30). As well as flooding from the past week-and-a-half still causing problems, a number of trees also fell on to cars and roads with a severe weather warning in force until 9am.

Flood alerts also remain in place across the county and surrounding areas, which mean flooding is possible. However, there are no red alert flood warnings in place - and the weather is due to settle and be drier in the coming days.

Below are the latest road closures in Gloucestershire on Friday morning. People are urged not to drive through flood water.

The county council adds: "A number of roads around the county are affected by flooding, fallen trees or other incidents. The above list shows those that are closed, impassable or passable with care.

"Please note - after a flood, we need to inspect the road to make sure it is still safe to travel on. Road closures remain in place until this inspection is done, so please do not move signs. Even if the road looks clear or passable, it might not be safe. We need to check the surface, clear up any debris and grit if needed. Road closures are in place to keep you and your vehicle safe."
