Fundraiser for family of man murdered in Wolverhampton by Britain's youngest knife killers
A fundraiser has been launched to support the heartbroken family of a man murdered by Britain's youngest knife killers. Shawn Seesahai was 'chopped at' with a 42.5cm machete by two 12-year-old boys he did not know.
The 19-year-old - originally from the British Overseas Territory of Anguilla in the Caribbean - had come to the UK for cataract treatment and to continue his education. He was living in Handsworth when he was hacked to death by the two boys in Wolverhampton on November 13 last year.
The Anguilla UK Office has now launched a GoFundMe page for Mr Seesahai's family. It comes after his parents revealed how they had to spend their life savings on repatriating their son's body.

They were then forced to take out a loan just so they could return to the UK and face their son's killers in court. They needed cash from the loan to pay for flights and accommodation.
The GoFundMe page reads: "Shawn Seesahai, a young student, was tragically killed by knife crime by two 12-year-old boys whilst in the UK seeking medical treatment. His family have spent their life savings and had to take a loan to repatriate his body, bury their son and travel to the UK for the trial.
"This GoFundMe will go some way we hope to help the family with the huge costs they have spent on this tragedy." Mr Seesahai was killed in Stowlawn playing fields, in East Park.
His killers - who are now 13 - were detained for life, with minimum terms of eight years and six months each at Nottingham Crown Court on Friday, September 27. Following the court hearing, Mr Seesahai's family said they were 'disappointed' with the sentence.
