A fundraiser has been launched to support the family of 'loving' dad David Graham who died last week.

The 'loving husband and dad' from Cambuslang was rushed to hospital on Sunday, October 6 after allegedly being attacked as he walked alone in General's Gate in Uddingston, South Lanarkshire at around 7.35pm. He was tragically pronounced dead on arrival at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.

A 29-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with his death on October 11 and was due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Thursday, October 10.

Last week, officers from Police Scotland confirmed a 41-year-old man had also been arrested in connection with the death. He has been released pending further enquiries.

A fundraiser has been launched for David's heartbroken family who say he was the "most selfless and caring person you’d have ever met" - donations are to help towards the 'financial burdens' they are facing.

The GoFundMe description reads: "It is with heavy hearts that we share the tragic news of the loss of our beloved David. David was the most selfless and caring person you’d have ever met who was tragically taken far too soon on 6th Of October 2024. This unimaginable loss has left us all devastated.

"David was a loving husband, dad, son, brother and friend. I have created this GoFundMe campaign to support David’s family during this incredibly difficult time. Our goal is to alleviate some of the financial burdens they are facing.

"While no amount of money can fill the void left by David’s passing, we hope to provide some comfort and support to his wife and their family.

"We understand that this is a challenging time for everyone, and we are grateful for any contribution you can make, no matter the size. Every donation will go directly to David’s family to help them navigate the difficult days ahead."

More than £1600 was raised in just 24 hours - if you wish to donate, click here.
