Undertaker to marry man who tracked her down after seeing her on billboard

A funeral director is getting wed after her groom spotted her face on a huge billboard and tracked her down.

Mick Bramman saw Louise Cook's face on a huge sign advertising the funeral directors she works at and decided to find her.

The 56-year-old tracked her down via Facebook and sent her a cheeky selfie standing next to the billboard and two years later they're set to tie the knot.

The couple, from Long Eaton, Nottingham, had lived in the same place for 18 years but had never crossed paths.

Once Bramman, a foreman at a local upholstery company, spotted his future fiancee's face on the billboard advertising AW Lymn funeral directors he tracked her down and they realised they had mutual friends.

Cook, 51, said: "Mick first reached out to me on Facebook after sharing mutual friends, asking if I would like to go out sometime.

"I initially didn’t think much of it and had just split up with my ex so I wasn’t thinking about going on a date."

"Then, the next day, I went out with a friend for some drinks and my phone pinged. I received another message from Mick, and, to my surprise, it was a photo of him underneath the Lymn's billboard I was in.

"I thought it was hilarious, here he was, posing underneath the huge billboard of my face. He certainly put a smile on my face, so I agreed to the date and two years later we’re engaged.

"The photo was the reason I agreed to let him take me out, we have a similar sense of humour."

The couple are due to marry in December in a chapel in the cemetery grounds of the funeral home Cook works at.

Theirs will be the first wedding in the chapel after she was granted special permission.

Cook added: "Most people meet online and a lot of the time it goes wrong so I feel very lucky to have Mick.

"I never expected any of this to come from my face being on the billboard but I couldn’t be happier."
