At least three protesters were detained by police this afternoon (June 13) after environmental protesters blocked the main route out of Carbis Bay, leading away from the G-7 summit venue in Cornwall. Traffic was held up as Extinction Rebellion protesters stopped their van and sat on the roof, blocking the road. Police officers and a specialist protester removal team were on scene and quickly dealt with the demonstrators who were also 'locked on.'
