G7 guest leaders lay flowers at Hiroshima Peace Park
STORY: Leaders from eight outreach countries including Indonesian President Joko Widodo, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol, as well as representatives of international organisations, were led by Kishida to visit the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, where they observed a silent moment after laying bouquets in front of the cenotaph.
The guest countries will join a broader session at the Group of Seven gathering on Sunday, after a meeting between all G7 members - the United States, Japan, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Italy and Canada - and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy.
The seven rich democracies will bring a close to the gathering that has focused on undermining Russia and managing China.
