Game Of Thrones' Maisie Williams: 'It'd Be Great If Arya Was Killed Off'

You’d think that having your character killed off from a popular TV show would be any actor’s worst nightmare, but Game Of Thrones’ Maisie Williams actually reckons it’d be pretty fantastic if her Winterfell counterpart, Arya Stark, got the boot.

Ooft, well, we respectfully disagree, Maisie…

Thankfully the star isn’t just keen to quit the much-loved fantasy drama, rather she thinks that the shocking character deaths are the most gripping part of the show and she wants in on that.

The eighteen-year-old explained: “In Season One everyone realised how brutal the show was when they killed off Sean Bean, just like that.

"At the end of the day, these horrible deaths make great storylines. It makes the show what it is.

"So it would be really selfish if I were to say, ‘Oh, I never want Arya to die.’ I don’t know what’s going to happen, but I know that it will make a great storyline.”

And although she hasn’t confirmed or denied whether Arya will meet her grisly death in the upcoming sixth series of the show, Maisie did go on to tease that fans may not be happy with what happens next.

She added to Event magazine: “It’s like a fresh start. I’m sure some people are going to be unhappy with some things that are coming up, but you can’t deny that it’s a breath of fresh air.”

Needless to say, we’re already feeling a bit nervous….
