If there's one thing about Game of Thrones we're sure about, it's that there's no-one in the seven kingdoms who can stare quite like Bran Stark.

Penetrating, unwavering, and remarkably unsettling, Bran has nailed the death stare like no other. He could make it onto the Iron Throne just by holding uncomfortable eye contact.

There's a reason Isaac Hempstead Wright is so good at staring intensely into his co-star's souls, though, and it's because he can't actually see when he's on set. That'll do it.

Speaking on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Isaac revealed that the only reason he's good at Bran's signature "intense stare" is because he's "completely blind" during filming.

"I don't have my glasses and I don't have contact lenses," he explained. "I need them to see."

Recalling a moment during filming when Sophie Turner praised his eternally creepy expression, Isaac said: "She said, 'Isaac, your stare is like you're staring into my soul', and I was like, 'I can't see you. That's why'."

Elsewhere, Isaac has revealed what side his character Bran is really on, revealing once and for all if the Three-Eyed Raven is "100% good" – or actually more morally ambiguous.
