Gwendoline Christie totally predicted the Game of Thrones finale TWO years ago

Game of Thrones actress Gwendoline Christie correctly predicted who won the Iron Throne two years ago.

Christie, who played Brienne of Tarth, showed off great foresight in a 2017 interview alongside co-star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as she tipped Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead Wright) to claim the Iron Throne.

“Don’t you think it will be someone out of left field… what we know about the show is that it constantly surprises you,” Christie told Extra. “So I’m wondering if it might be Bran.”

Host Mario Lopez questioned her theory, with the actress explaining that he could be “in the future but projecting in the past” because of his gift as the Three Eyed Raven.

“Just because we keep seeing the world from his perspective, don’t we? We keep seeing the visions. Is he in the future, projecting in the past?” she said.

Coster-Waldau, who played Jaime Lannister, told Christie that the theory “didn’t make sense” with the chronology of the show, but Christie replied: “How do you know we are currently in the present in the story? The story might not be in chronological order.”

The actress even insisted that Bran may have “made” Jaime push him out of the window in season one, leaving him wheelchair-bound.

On Tuesday, Christie bid an emotional farewell to her character with a lengthy Instagram tribute, hailing the character for making her “redefine women, herself and the world”.

“THANK YOU. There is no other way to start this. @gameofthrones has changed my life beyond anything I could have comprehended,” Christie began.

“Playing Brienne of Tarth has redefined the way I look at the world, women and particularly myself. I have never felt so exposed by a character, but happy knowing that those feelings of discomfort were about shaking off convention and embracing strength and authenticity.”

Alongside her lengthy caption, Christie posted a picture of her sharing a hug with an assistant director called Ciaran, having become close friends over the duration of the show.

Christie said that she was “so very grateful” to have been given the “phenomenal opportunity” to be a part of the show and that it “truly meant a great deal to have been part of something so many people loved”.
