Game of Thrones has revealed the first look after several season seven characters. But not in a new trailer!

We'll get the particulars out of the way first, a new HBO teaser has the stars of all of its favourite shows impersonating its classic opening title sequence, but we don't really care about that, do we?

What's much more important is that this video includes several Game of Thrones characters in their brand new costumes, including the Lannisters, Brienne, Varys, The Hound and more.

Intriguingly, three of the four Stark children featured- that's Jon Snow, Arya, Sansa and Bran in case you blinked - are all bundled up in the finest of Winterfell furs. Is this yet another hint that the Stark children will be reunited at last?

Another detail worth noting is that Daenerys and her advisors Tyrion and Missandei are all wearing shiny new dark vests - as opposed to the lighter colours Daenerys has most often worn in the past.

Last week's official trailer seemingly tipped that Daenerys will make it to the Targaryen's ancestral castle Dragonstone this season. Maybe she rewards her crew with matching outfits?

We're hoping to get some firm spoilers sometime soon, although the cast themselves probably wouldn't giving us much in terms of useful information.

Jaime Lannister actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau unfortunately stopped himself before spilling a major secret in a recent interview, where as cast members like Iain Glen (Jorah Mormont) prefer just to be cryptic.

Game of Thrones returns to HBO in the US on Sunday, July 16 at 9pm ET and at 2am on Monday, July 17 on Sky Atlantic in the UK. Watch a trailer below:
