Note: The following article contains spoilers of a very explicit nature from season 8, episode 2 'A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms'… so look away now if you can't handle it.

There were a lot of very impassioned reactions to Arya Stark's big moment in Game of Thrones season 8 episode 2… but, really, the only hot take that matters comes from her big sister Sansa.

Sunday's episode (or Monday's if you caught the replay on Sky) featured a pivotal moment where Arya (Maisie Williams) and Gendry (Joe Dempsie) had sex on the eve of The Battle of Winterfell.

It's a moment many people have speculated about for years (including Joe Dempsie himself), but it seemed to bring nobody more joy that Maisie Williams's on-screen sibling and off-screen BFF Sophie Turner.

The Sansa actress went live on Instagram after having some wine for Easter Sunday, in order to put Arya's sex scene in a very… ermm… unexpected (and very NSFW) context.

We're guessing Gendry is the Easter Bunny in this analogy, and that's where we're going to stop! For anyone wondering, Sansa was stuck sharing a loaf of bread with Theon out in the cold while Arya and Gendry were getting up to it… so we'll let you decide who had the better night!

Maisie Williams has admitted that she initially thought showrunners David Benioff and D. B. Weiss were playing a prank on her when they wrote Arya's love scene into the script.

"I was like, 'Yo, good one'. And [the showrunners were] like, 'No, we haven’t done that this year'," Williams told Entertainment Weekly. "Oh f**k! I got to the read-through and I'm reading the scene and thought, 'Oh, we're actually going to do this.

"'When do I shoot this? I need to go to the gym'. A whole list of things."

Game of Thrones season 8 airs on HBO in the US and Sky Atlantic and NOW TV in the UK. Tune in to Digital Spy's Game of Thrones livestreams on Monday evenings, straight after each episode, on Instagram and Facebook.
