John Bradley has warned Game of Thrones fans not to write off his character Samwell Tarly or his friend Bran Stark.
The actor said that his and Isaac Hempstead Wright's characters make a strong team together despite their deficiencies.
"What I think links those two characters is that they're both characters who are in possession of abilities and skills that nobody else has," Bradley told TV Guide.
"Between them, they're such a formidable team because, okay, they can't fight between them, they don't have much physical power between them, but both of their set of skills are so unique."
He called the combination of Sam's ability to absorb knowledge and academia with Bran's visions and supernatural skills "a real recipe for success".
An example of their effective teamwork was seen with the revelation that Jon Snow is in fact a legitimate Targaryen heir and not a Star bastard - something that only emerged as a result of Bran's visions and Sam's brains.
And Bradley suggested that this winning combination could provide further revelations in future episodes.
He added: "Don't write them off as a partnership because between them, they can use their own and each others' skills to really shake the place up a bit as we go forward."
Game of Thrones will return to HBO in 2019.
